Graham Hardie Poetry

You spoke those words,
Incandescent with light,

It filled me with happiness,
It brought back such sweet memories.

There was joy untold
And everlasting:

“I miss you.”
It was worth the wait.

The long hours spent
By winter’s ragged tempest.

Speak them again and again
And I will never forget their promise.
